Field Service Technician - Camera Systems

Primary
Responsibilities:
Field Service (50% of
role):
- Install and configure IP camera systems at dairy
facilities
- Run and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling in agricultural
environments
- Perform on-site system repairs and maintenance
- Travel to customer sites nationwide as needed
- Must provide own reliable vehicle for regional travel
(mileage reimbursed)
- Must have basic low-voltage tools and equipment
Remote Support (50% of
role):
- Provide remote technical support to dairy farm
personnel
- Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely manner
- Perform remote troubleshooting and system diagnostics
- Document all troubleshooting steps and solutions
- Coordinate with farm staff to resolve technical issues
remotely
- Maintain availability during business hours when not in
the field
- Follow up on ongoing issues and maintain clear
communication

Required
Qualifications:
- Must reside in or near Buffalo, NY or Rochester, NY
area
- 2+ years experience installing and configuring IP
camera systems
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VLANs,
and wireless systems
- Experience configuring remote access and cellular
backup solutions
- Proficiency in cable running, termination, and testing
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong remote troubleshooting abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Own basic tools for low-voltage installations
- Comfortable with frequent travel (up to 50% travel
time)
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve
effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Low voltage license or relevant certifications
- Experience with commercial-grade installations
including conduit work and proper mounting techniques
- Experience in agricultural or industrial environments
- Linux administration experience
- Experience with remote support tools (TeamViewer,
AnyDesk, etc.)

- Annual salary: $62,400 (paid monthly)

Physical Requirements:

- Hours vary based on installation and support needs

- Ability to complete projects within given timeframes
- Regular travel required
