Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze and track costs associated with specific projects or jobs within the company.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all project costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather data and provide detailed reports on project costs, profitability, and variances.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for future projects, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
  • Reconcile project costs with general ledger accounts and perform cost audits.
  • Participate in financial analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to job cost accounting activities.
  • Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Regional Controller

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a cost accountant, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Certification (e.g., Certified Management Accountant) is a plus.
  • JDE software experience a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
