Staff Accountant

Duties
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Assist with financial management tasks, including budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income
statements
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper recording of debits and
credits
- Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax
regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide
support as needed
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior accounting staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Proven experience as a staff accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Knowledge of private equity, wills trusts estate law is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
