ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Picks up and delivers mail,
supplies, etc to and from assigned locations in a timely manner.
- Drives a defined pick-up and
delivery route as scheduled.
- Obeys all traffic laws and
follows safe traffic and transportation procedures.
- Maintains on-time delivery
schedule while handling occasional STAT requests.
- Maintains professionalism in
all interactions including in use of language, attire, and demeanor.
- Maintains cleanliness and order
in work area.
- Maintains cleanliness in company
vehicles.
- Handles routine maintenance of
the organization’s vehicles including oil changes, tire rotations, etc.,
per manufacturer’s specifications.
- Notifies supervisor of vehicle
repair needs.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates actively as part
of the Central Supply team including identifying potential efficiencies,
implementing cost-saving strategies, and improving service.
- Assists in filling requisitions
as requested by supervisor.
- Checks in deliveries as needed
- Answers phone calls as
requested and takes messages as needed.
- Performs other duties as
assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience as a courier or delivery
experience strongly preferred. Must have and maintain an excellent driving
record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Must have good verbal and
written communication skills in order to communicate clearly and
effectively.
- Must possess excellent social
skills for effective interpersonal interaction within Central Supply, with
other ARC/CMS departments, and with outside vendors.
- Attention to detail.
