What you’ll do:

  • Install complex scenic pieces per drawings or plans.

  • Collaborate with production teams to assess and fulfill scenic requirements.

  • Conduct safety inspections and adhere to codes and safety standards.

  • Troubleshoot scenic issues swiftly during installation, quickly solving problems and documenting accordingly.

  • Assist in the setup and teardown of equipment before and after events.

  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order.

  • Complete a Daily Timesheet to capture labor hours worked for each day.

  • Complete construction, assembly, fit-out, and finishing of installation tasks.

  • Report any missing or non-working tools & equipment

  • Ensure that workspaces are clean, organized, and free of hazardous materials.

  • Stay informed about the latest technologies and trends in entertainment installation work.

Base Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, ideally in the entertainment and commercial sector.

  • Strong knowledge of scenic construction practices and rigging.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to understand visual/illustrative methods and design

  • Ability to work independently and lead others as required

  • Proficient in working with a wide range of materials; glass, wood, plastics, acrylics, laminates, graphics, metals, etc.

  • Demonstrates awareness of all health and safety protocols

  • Pays attention to detail, demonstrating awareness of both the project and the site as a whole

  • High physical activity: lifting, bending, stretching & must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

  • Willingness and availability for overnight travel

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Available to work extended hours and travel for months at a time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA30, SST, NEC) are a plus.

  • Prior experience in Installation and Architainment a plus.

  • Ability and certification to operate forklifts and aerial lifts effectively.
