CAO RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with the CLO, CFO, and CEO, in connection with carrying out all plans and visions of the Founder | Chairman | CVO and contribute advice during strategic planning sessions to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Take charge of the CAO department, providing strategic oversight to all matters including technology, communications, commercial activities, and research and development.
  • Provide daily updates on the department's progress to the Founder | Chairman of the Board | Chief Visionary Officer (CVO) about key developments and challenges.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the entire CAO department and ensure the efficient and effective functioning of department areas.
  • Define and execute a strategic plan to achieve the company's short-term and long-term goals.
  • Ensure that decisions made align with the company's financial goals, budgets, investment choices, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for the organization on relevant matters of public interest, along with the Founder and relevant subject matter experts within SCDC.
  • Help develop crisis communication plans and strategies to address potential PR issues related to administrative operations, such as facility closures, supply chain disruptions, or administrative department or other errors.
  • Lead initiatives for digital transformation by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance employee and customer experiences through technology.
  • Regularly review administrative processes to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, or areas for improvement. Engage staff in this process to gain valuable insights.
  • Provide leadership to department personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, communication, conducting staff meetings, directing goals, and coordinating work.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of the department by reviewing resource allocation, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other metrics.
  • Ensure that the company's IT infrastructure is robust and resilient, including networks, servers, and data storage.
  • Encourage entire company staff to become brand advocates by effectively communicating the company's mission and values.
  • Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and professional development, ensuring staff members receive proper supervision and guidance.
  • Identify and drive innovation within the department to remain competitive.
  • Identify growth and new opportunities for the department and employees.
  • Training and creating a workplace environment that reflects the brand's ethos.
  • Implement systems and processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • A master’s degree in technology, marketing, communications, or MBA or PhD with 10 plus years of relevant experience; or comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of successful executive leadership as a CEO, COO, CAO or similar executive position within a relevant industry, preferably in real estate.
  • High-level experience representing an organization externally, with exposure to media and public speaking before large, high-profile groups.
  • Strong decision-making skills, including the capacity to make critical decisions and take accountability for outcomes and results.
  • The ability to attract, inspire, and lead high-performing teams and create a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing corporate strategies that align with the company's mission and goals.
  • A commitment to innovation and the capacity to adapt to changing market conditions and industry trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage time sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated ability to motivate a team and inspire greatness.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and expansion/growth initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and team building.
  • Experience leading a team in a startup environment is desirable.
